ANNUAL THANKSGIVING BREAKFAST & TESTIMONY SERVICE
On November 22nd, we gathered for our annual Thanksgiving breakfast and testimony service. First, members of our special events team served breakfast for all to enjoy. Then, we gathered for our Thanksgiving testimony service where each member shared how God has led this this past year. Despite the challenging year, God continues to be faithful! We closed the service in corporate prayer around our food collection for LifePath Christian Ministries and the Red Lion Little Free Food Pantry and our annual collection of shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. With the help of our church body and TeamKid attendees, we filled 37 shoeboxes to send to children in need! Praise God for a wonderful day of fellowship!

In these uncertain times, I am reminded of Paul’s encouragement to the church of Philippi.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
The spread of the virus and media response has understandably caused some angst. But we do know one thing for certain: we serve an awesome God who is faithful and in complete control. And as followers of Christ, we have the distinct privilege of being able to turn to Him in prayer when we feel tempted to let fear take hold in our hearts.
Would you join us in praying for these five things, specifically?
- Pray for protection, and for containment of the Coronavirus.
- Pray for our nation’s leaders, that they would have wisdom in how to deal with the virus.
- Pray for medical professionals, that God would guide and protect them as they treat those affected.
- Pray for our brothers and sisters whose businesses and job stability might be affected.
- Pray especially for those who are the most vulnerable to the effects of the virus.
(This message has been re-transmitted from an email received from ADF, Alliance Defending Freedom, a Christian law firm defending First Amendment rights of faith-based businesses)
Prayer is an effective tool. As Ephesians 6:12 states, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." This is no different. Let us fight the battle on our knees. #FaithNotFear #Coronavirus

Observance of the Lord's Supper/Communion:
We celebrate the Lord's Supper together as a Faith Family the 1st Sunday of each month. You do not have to be a member of Zion Bible Church to participate, but you do have to be a member of the family of God through the saving power of Jesus Christ. Let us always remember our Savior's sacrifice for us, both in celebration and reverence, in partaking of the bread, a symbol of the broken body of Christ, and the grape juice, a symbol of the new covenant through Jesus' blood.
* Please note - We will continue to celebrate the Lord's Supper together with prepackaged wafers and grape juice for your safety as we wade through the uncertain times of the coronavirus pandemic.
