The reading in Ezekiel in chapters 40-43 was a little challenging to read through. In these chapters God gives Ezekiel a vision of the future Temple and all the furnishings in it. To fully understand what is going on in these chapters a good commentary would be helpful. But this part of the prophecy from God is all focused around 1 thing, hope. God was giving Ezekiel this vision of the new Temple so he could share it with the people, who have been in exiles now for 25 years. God knows His people better than they know themselves. God knows that His people need to have hope to survive. I am a glass half full person. Some would call me a pessimist. I like to think of myself as a realist and tend to see the painful broken moments as they are. But as a child of the King, I have an eternal perspective. This is where I find my hope. God has me secure in His hand. God has my salvation secure and my eternal home set. There is nothing that I can do to lose any of that. I am a citizen of Heaven. I am merely passing through this world on my way to home. This means that life hurts, is painful, and is very broken by pain and sin. But God is in control and is redeeming me to be a people set for Heaven someday where there will be no more sin, pain, or brokenness. This is my hope. This should be the hope for every child of the King. This is the same hope that God was giving His people through Ezekiel and his vision of the future Temple where His glory would dwell forever. Remember this hope today and every day as we walk in the midst of what seem to be very hopeless moments without God. God is our hope and rock in every situation. And it will all soon pass away. Amen!

amen...and all of us should feel as we don't belong here.,,.that our home is in heaven. And I like how our God puts all of us together with different perspectives and desires for His glory. All In Preparation for eternity!

I love the fact phrase " I am a citizen of Heaven"!!! Wow that is a very powerful line... I will use it for sure in talking with people. Having two siblings that passed away, one recently that phrase will certainly be a comfort to my family. " All in preparation for eternity" is a great line as well. That will be useful in spreading his word as well. This is truly amazing how God is working in my life through people like all of you.
