Zion Bible Church (then Zion Mennonite Church) began its ministry to the Dominican Republic through the dedication and evangelistic efforts of Benjamin and Esther Woodring near Jacagua, Dominican Republic, as they served there as missionaries for 28 years. There, and in nearby locales, are several local churches and a school founded through the ministry of Ben & Esther. Following their service in the D.R., Ben Wooding served as Zion's pastor from 1999-2014.
Since 2011, Zion Bible Church, in conjunction with Tipton Baptist Church, located in Tipton, PA, have teamed up on a number of missions trips to Jacagua, Domininican Republic. The two churches worked together, through Hands of Grace, to assist with building projects for the Christian School and local Bible Church located in Jacagua. Through these trips, many relationships have been forged between the two Pennsylvania congregations, and their brothers and sisters in Christ in the Dominican Republic.
